Listen to the new single Javi Medina & Sanguijuelas del Guadiana "El Bar"

Javi Medina closes the countdown to 'Gato Blanco' with "El Bar," a track that crosses the Leganés artist's flamenco-rooted pop rock and roguish lyrics with the world of Sanguijuelas del Guadiana, one of the acts that has burst onto the scene hardest in recent times. It's the band's first collaboration since their explosive breakthrough, born from a natural connection between two acts from different places who both look to their roots to build their songs (Extremadura is three places: Cáceres, Badajoz and Leganés). The song is about the neighborhood, the neighbors and the friends who've always been there, about those bars you walk into almost by accident and end up staying in, with an instant melody and a chorus made to stick from the first listen. This new single joins the already released "Tú no quieres," "Gracias por venir," "Resaca," "Seré" and "Tabú," with a public response to this new chapter that's through the roof: "Gracias por venir" has racked up over 2 million YouTube views and inspired more than 12.7K TikTok videos. With that momentum, 'Gato Blanco' arrives October 23 as a direct, close-to-the-bone record, with personal lyrics and plenty of character, combining emotion, energy and authenticity without losing the roots running through his music, and it's already available for pre-order in a signed, limited edition.

On top of that, in the days around the album's release Javi Medina will be doing local promo in his hometown of Leganés: a reception at City Hall, a visit to his old high school and a welcome from Leganés CF, with an exclusive album listening on October 20, three days before release. A kickoff at home for a tour that also ends at home.

A singer and songwriter who blends rumba with pop, flamenco and urban music, and who has collaborated with artists such as Camilo, Juancho Marqués and Moncho Chavea, Javi Medina will take the album on the road with the "Gato Negro Tour 26'," crossing Spain until its closing night at home:
