Marta Jiménez (Plasencia, early 90s) is the voice of Canchalera. With rap as the main musical currency, and Extremadura as the place of departure and arrival of all trips, Canchalera wants to put the ways and language of the peripheries on the map. Faced with the fact that in her personal tastes, the most classic rap of the 90s and the greats of flamenco stand out, Canchalera has the references and main influence of her own: colleagues who rap for each other, the hard workers who move on with what they are given and the real chavs, the ones who are such without looking for it. 'Arrecíos', her first mixtape, talks about roots and uprooting, about starting to fight for more without ceasing to value each small thing. So that we do not forget what we were.
